The EUROPEAN HEMATOLOGY ASSOCIATION (EHA)
was founded in December 1991 in Brussels, Belgium. The major aims of the association are:
Contribute to a European policy for research and education in haematology / hematology
Organise the annual scientific and educational congress in a major European city
Encourage exchange of technological know-how between European laboratories and clinical institutions engaged
in haematological / hematological research Promote
a network of communication between specific sub-disciplines of haematology Stimulate postgraduate education, e.g.
through the annual meetings and the collaboration with the European School of Hematology Fund young researchers
working in the field of haematology / hematology (e.g. through EHA-José Carreras young investigator fellowship program)
Encourage communication between academic institutions and industry Publish the results from basic and clinical
research through The Hematology Journal

The EUROPEAN HEMATOLOGY ASSOCIATION (EHA) was founded in December 1991 in Brussels, Belgium. The EHA is a scientific society, organizing various activities in Europe.
Members are scientific researchers or medical doctors who have an interest in the specialist field of Hematology.
The EHA Executive Office and the Editorial Office of The Hematology Journal are located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
